Eyes Delighted Moment

By this time of the year we may be "restricted" to white snow wonderland or that favorite cozy flurry hat, mittens and scarf in our closets.
Not necessarily. We too can always think beyond these images and remember how delightful can be a nice picture of flowers, yes - in the end of December.
There are many places in the world where celebrate hot Decembers with plenty of sun and flourished gardens.
By saying this, to the card makers, scrapbookers and paper crafters that visit me in here...I just want to wish you a COLORFUL 2010, may your next projects be filled with DELIGHTFUL ideas and you have a WONDERFUL time spreading JOY and LOVE through your creativity - to your friends, fans and family.

Then, God Blessings!

My "Brand New" idea - MBNI project #001(SKETCH)

I had an different idea this morning.
After playing with my son last night, inking and stamping his little hands on colonial white cardstock, I woke up with this - to create a "whole year" mini album - that would hold just his hand-printed images... stamped monthly (in the same day of each month), with different ink colors onto CW cardstock and the coordinated color CS paper (from CTMH papers collection).

To use black color CS mat to match my hand written journaling spot (w/black marker), on each of the 6" x 6" layout page.
Then simply accent to embellish.
Will probably make an album by myself (maybe a simple cardboard covered with patterned paper?) - to keep these cute 12 pages.

I loved the idea right after it got into my mind.
So...hope to get more ideas soon - and this is the #001 of the 50 I'm planning for 2010/2011. Let's see what will inspire me during this new phase of my creations.

Will let my imagination to lead me.

My Baby is 3...

Happy Birthday, sweetie!

This is all about primary colors. And it's so everyday of our lives now because of my little one.
All colors, shapes and kid's stuff. Just look what he did...
I'm always inspired by his cute and funny toys, books and clothes.
Just love them!

Today's project is something made from this inspiration, and it is just right to celebrate the 3rd Birthday of my son.

Love you so very much. Can't kiss and hug you enough.

Project Review: Easter Layout

These pages were made to tell about the day we celebrated the Easter (March-2008) in a fun, different way. By the morning we went to our church for the egg hunting (my baby's #1 egg hunting!) - it was such a beautiful sunny day!
About 2 hours later we had a brief lunch, got all thing set, then headed to Boreal Sky place. How fun! This was my baby's #1 snow playing too!

The featured scripture is PROVERBS 16:9.

Supplies: Chipboards(K&Company), patterned papers(American Crafts), cardstock (the Paper Company and DCWV), ribbon (Offray), brads(COLORBOK), ink(Tsukineko) and misc.: rubber stamps, egg and basket accents.

It's always good to review past projects. This layout was sent to a scrapbook magazine's call months later.

SWAP card

This card I made for the CTMH 2009 Regionals SWAP.
All supplies from Close To My Heart.
I like the way these colors it's "neutral" by the means of the recipient, which can be a man or a woman. Quite simple and easy project. I spent a whole Saturday and half day of Sunday to stamp, cut, embellish and assemble all the cards for the swap. In between going to grocery store and taking care of my toddler.
:)
Sorry for the blurry picture of the cards lot. Couldn't get it better through Photoshop.

Have a great night!

{my} CTMH Portland Regionals Contest Projects

I made the 2 pages layout and card for the 2009 CTMH Portland Reg. Celebration's Contest.
I'm not the winner of the prize but happy enough to be at TOP 5 for the finals.

All the supplies are from CTMH. Requirements of the corporate.

These were fun and easy to make! Had a great time sharing them with the fellow ladies.

Next will share the SWAP's card and layout I made for this same event.

Thanks for looking.

Good stuff to inspire: images from Oregon Trip#1

We went to Oregon 2 weeks ago. My husband and I decided it would be a road trip so we could stop anytime for convenience or just for fun. And I had lots of fun taking some nice pictures!

Some of the places we stopped by...Redding (N. California) - TURTLE BAY, then getting to Oregon ASHLAND ( the historic hotel, the Shakespeare spot, a beautiful park - need to find out its name), MEDFORD and finally PORTLAND.

Today I'm sharing some of the pictures I took from the inside of the historic hotel, where I found many vintage collector's display with sea shells (loved them), bird eggs and more little intricate things.

I do believe when we're keeping our eyes and hearts wide open, we can always discover so many places to inspire and put us to fun creativities...

Got some new projects' ideas after the trip. Sure thing!

That's all for now.

Smiles,
Lya

Autumn right here...

Besides Spring, Autumn is my favorite season of the year too.
I love to find and see the things that represent so well the nostalgic feeling of the season...red leaf and acorn.
Here I made (it was the Make and Take project for the September CTMH Gathering and Showcase) - a set of 3 small cards (3" x 3"), with stamped images cut outs and pearls.

Supplies: all from CTMH(Close To My Heart).

Happy Autumn!

card for a friend - project review PR #01

I'll start my Project Review with this one today.

I have many scrapbook page layouts, cards and other paper crafts I made before having a blog, I simply kept the images in my computer. Now with this new space - created just for my own stuff - I think it's time to share them as a project review(PR), along with the current ones.

This is a card I made for a friend 2 years ago.
The card was part of our gift to her new photo studio grand opening.

Supplies: stamps(HERO ARTS), patterned paper(DCWV), punch(FISKARS and EK), ribbon (OFFRAY), ink pad(CTMH).

about the blog and me blogging here

I'm living a remarkable period of my life.
Right now as SAH(stay-at-home) and then WAH(work-at-home) mommy to a 34-months very busy, curious and CUTE baby boy - yeah..., he still is, and always will be my little one.
:)
I went "seriously" into scrapbooking 3 years ago, then and now spending some part of my free time in the artful process of turning our memories into layouts made with my favorite papers, embellishments, and when it's available, memorabilia to make each page stand out as a precious and personal "life archive".
One of the purposes of this blog is to share my scrapbook layouts, cards and other projects as I make them. Some projects will be available to be purchased and others shared in hope to give you bit(s) of ideas and inspiration.

Thanks for reading this.

Fresh Start - a little piece of the story

I stepped into the blog world in the Spring 2009.
It was like a blast and I knew just a few about blogging.

Started at first with Wordpress, just as another "window" to connect myself with the people who like scrapbook, handmade cards and general paper crafts as I do.
But later on I found I needed more time than I really had to learn & use all the things Wordpress offers to make a nice blog. I wanted something faster and easier.

So, weeks after my first blog without the results I was expecting, I began my "virtual journey" at Blogspot.com.

Then I realized that sometimes, LESS IS MORE, and make things simple is absolutely great.

This is my blog #5 and I'm glad to say this one is just ME.

God Bless.
