a past Class project, create a card stamping with SG - a quick view

This photo is a EKB Stamping Gear 101 class project - a sneak peek photo I'd like to share.
It is one of the class samples from one my 2013 classes @ Michaels.

It is essential to use the Inkadinkado Stamping Gear(SG) tool (EKBrands) as part of the project making. The tool itself allow the user to be as much creative as she can be. The sky is the limit!

You can find this tool at Michaels, Joann or any other art & craft store near by.

Stamp on!

Winter Thoughts Mini Accordion Album

This is a 6" x 6" accordion style album, basically with 8 pages including the cover and backcover.
Some pages background were made from Art Philosophy die cut collection.
I also used the CTMH new [big] snowflake overlay to embellish the cover with a shiny rhinestones-filled brad. Love these.
Simple color scheme and accents.

Blue and chocolate, way to go!

Passion for butterflies - one card

It has been since when I was a teenager...that I discovered how I was (and still am) fascinated about butterflies and everything about this amazing creature.
Now, more than ever, as scrapbooker and paper crafter myself, this passion has been even deeper. Just love the nature sense of it that overcomes beyond its visual beauty.

I've been collecting recently some butterfly stamps and crafty things to work with.
The card above is one I made a couple weeks ago, with a friend, during one of our Bible Study sessions.

Everything is possible when you believe. This has been my "motto". So in here it is combined with the dream of butterflies.

Supplies for the card:
paper, pearl, ink pad - CTMH; punch - Martha Stewar; stamp - Verve.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mini Album Sampler - "Express Yourself"

Hi all!
Mini Albums became one of my favorite things in the paper crafting world just before I realized it. It is always a great creative outcome to me, no matter how simple or how "big" it can be.
So, I'm sharing today a mini album. It was a class project I had weeks ago.
It's really simple but still humble patterns and fine textures with small shapes(in this case, butterflies).

Basic techniques like distressing and layering were up to this album and it is definitely a quick project anyone would like to make as gift or something to personalize.

Supplies:
papers, kraft border(Wings from CTMH), raw "milk chocolate" album (BasicGrey), punch(EK for Jolee's), pearls, ribbon, stamps and inks(CTMH), adhesive(Tombow).

Enjoy and happy crafting!

The first of a month to love

We should celebrate LOVE often and make the everyday an extension of some sort of our own Valentine's Day.
:)
I was looking for my floral images archives and found these pictures I took last year and were still there, waiting for me, so I thought I'd share today.

The close up image you see above is the detail of a recipe box I made weeks ago for a class and it also has a heart shape as focus of the project.
So here we go, happy LOVE day to you!

Christmas Matchbox - swap " limited edition "

Good morning...
I'm glad to share these matchboxes I made from the "scratch" - yes, I scored the paper, made the box and decorated it, then filled it with some cute pieces and goodies for crafting - anything else beyond scrapbooking and card making.

The two ladies who received the boxes/goodies are from the Christian Paper Artists Group.
I'm member of the group for a while and now swapping for the very first time.
I'm happy I joined this one, the boxes I received from them are both very creative and cute.
The swap was 2 weeks ago.

Supplies: box - paper( Basic Grey, CTMH), glitter glitz, ribbons, brads, stamp and ink pad (CTMH) flowers (Prima), punch(Fiskars).

*Note: The stamp set I used is the brand new ones from Close To My Heart Autumn/Winter collection/idea book. See Image above. It's called Everlasting Life and became one of my favorite right after the CTMH D.C. 2010 Convention. through the letter form, the words, the beauty of these Scriptures. Love this set.

Have a blessed day!

my NSSS card #3

Hi there...
Thought I'd share the other set of cards I made for the NSSS Monday card swap, back in October. I was having a blast using the scoring board and seeing all the fun effects it can give through simple touches. The pink cardstock stripe was simply scored by 1/4 inch and slightly sanded to show the white core of the paper.

Supplies: papers (CTMH, DCWV), stamp, ink pad, glitter glitz(CTMH), scoring board(MS).

Happy card making,

"Alegria" for the eyes

We may want to define "eye candy" as anything that is beautiful to see at and makes us happy just by looking at, just like candies do with all the sweet tooth out there.
How about some treats simply made with recycled items, patterned papers and fun stamps?

I made these candy jars, filled with chocolates, as treats last year to give away in our friends home, when we're invited to spend the Christmas eve together. I thought everyone liked the idea of taking home a little fun treat after the party.
(sorry for the darker image you see above):)
Supplies:
patterned paper( WeRMemoryKeepers), cardstock paper, ink pad and stamp(CTMH)

We can always be creative with everyday things around us and to take a step forward to recycle whenever we get the chance. Recycling, refreshing, renewing something, it is all good.

Happy Eye Candy you too (and don't eat too many chocolates)!

book page made bloom

Here you see some of the paper flowers I made from book pages.
It is a beautiful way to create my own embellishments out of the colors I really like.

These delicate little ones (approx. .75 inch) are just the right size for my handmade cards or scrapbook layouts, decorating corners or accentuating borders.

Supplies:
old book pages
craft buttons and thread
(my spare time)

Wish you a happy day!
