A birthday card

Today I made a "last-minute" kind of birthday card.
I like it how it looks simple yet good :).
It's going to be given to my son's teacher for her birthday.

It has an extra pocket on the inside to tuck in a Starbucks gift card.

Here are the snapshots of the card:

Have a great Friday!

Featuring Stamping Gear from inkadinkado, teaching at Michaels El Camino

This past Wednesday it was so much fun as we spend few hours playing along with some new and popular cling stamps while using the stamping gear set (wheels + cog = fun!) in both circle, oval, square and rectangle shapes. This is a technique class, you'll make some cards while learning, but know that the techniques can be used for any paper craft or scrapbook projects.

I'll be teaching the last two of classes this year, so if you'd like to join the fun, be sure to sign up (walk in or online) in advance.
Again, just a kind reminder that the class can be canceled if we don't have enough sign ups and it closes 24 hours before the class date.
Please keep this in mind as you plan your time to attend any of my classes at Michaels store at El Camino (Sacramento).

See you in classroom!

a sympathy card

Today I'm posting this to share a sympathy card I made back in February, to our pastor and his family. His so loved father passed away about a month ago...and yes, it was Valentines Day.

During the making of the card, I just wanted to do something really simple. Without excessive embellishments. To honor the special person and his wonderful family.

Warm hugs!

Open House - thank you notes

Hello...this post is to share some of the Thank You cards I made and sent to the customers, students and friends that visited our Open House few days ago.

It was so great seeing some long-time-no-see friends and surprised by unexpected friends, we all had lots of fun. I've prepared the new living room to be "show room" as I wanted to share my latest paper crafting artworks and scrapbook projects. Seems like everyone had so much fun!

In these note cards I used some of the latest embellishments from CTMH(Paradise baker's twine, Mile Post shapes, mini-medley olive collection, etc). Fun!
The patterned paper is Typeset.

Good night,

Passion for butterflies - one card

It has been since when I was a teenager...that I discovered how I was (and still am) fascinated about butterflies and everything about this amazing creature.
Now, more than ever, as scrapbooker and paper crafter myself, this passion has been even deeper. Just love the nature sense of it that overcomes beyond its visual beauty.

I've been collecting recently some butterfly stamps and crafty things to work with.
The card above is one I made a couple weeks ago, with a friend, during one of our Bible Study sessions.

Everything is possible when you believe. This has been my "motto". So in here it is combined with the dream of butterflies.

Supplies for the card:
paper, pearl, ink pad - CTMH; punch - Martha Stewar; stamp - Verve.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi there,

This card is meant to celebrate and welcome the year of 2011 as New Year eve approaches.
Yes, 2010 has been very challenging for me and my family as we faced some of the biggest struggles on our personal lives. But I also understand that everything has a purpose to be and I believe God is behind all of "the goods and bads" that come to our way.
So my heart still longs for gratitude.
Let's celebrate and be thankful for ourselves, our loved ones and all we have, right now!

Supplies used for this card:
papers - Basic Grey, The Paper company, CTMH
stamps - CTMH, MS
die cut - Sizzix
punch - SU'
ink pad - Tsukineko, CTMH
marker - COPIC ( E17, YR15, YR82) , Calligraphy (PURE BLACK) by Zig M.S.

Joyful December

Traditionally this is the busiest month of the year.
This has been a tough year for me, and I know, for a lot of people out there too.
But in between the good and the bad that happened along the year, I want to keep my heart filled with gratitude for the friendships I made and the achievements I got during the year of 2010.

I'm sharing today some of the cards I made for this weekend's demo.
Good night!

November Birthday Card - special one

Good evening...

Sharing tonight is the birthday card I made for my husband few weeks ago.
I used both the lovely bonsai stamp (from Stampin'Up) and scripted font word stamp (from CTMH). The papers(Emporium Collection), stitched ribbons, blue pearls, Liquid Glass (for the tree vase glossy accent), ink pads are all from Close To My Heart.

The design is simple but I liked the clean linear visual effect as final result of the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

my NSSS card #3

Hi there...
Thought I'd share the other set of cards I made for the NSSS Monday card swap, back in October. I was having a blast using the scoring board and seeing all the fun effects it can give through simple touches. The pink cardstock stripe was simply scored by 1/4 inch and slightly sanded to show the white core of the paper.

Supplies: papers (CTMH, DCWV), stamp, ink pad, glitter glitz(CTMH), scoring board(MS).

Happy card making,

FUNdamentals technique sampler: "so blessed" card

Hi..
Here is another card sampler for the FUNdamentals class - again, to review the fun techniques I taught during the previous classes.
In this card there are at least 7 techniques.
I find this a good way to remember the ideas shared in the teaching.

And again, the supplies are all from the CTMH newest Christmas collection - papers and stamps set.

Thanks for visiting me!

FUNdamentals technique sampler: a snowman card

This is one of the cards I made for the FUNdamentals class, to show the techniques I taught in the past few classes like edge and ink distressing, blending(colors), tearing, heat embossing among some others.
The cute snowman is part of a (very) fun stamp set from CTMH, which you can "dress" it with different mittens, scarves or other accessories. This set was a popular set from last winter and now is back to be featured in current idea book.
The cardstock color is pacifica and patterned paper is the from the new set called Magnifique(CTMH).

All supplies are from CTMH.

Have a great day!
