Featuring Stamping Gear from inkadinkado, teaching at Michaels El Camino

This past Wednesday it was so much fun as we spend few hours playing along with some new and popular cling stamps while using the stamping gear set (wheels + cog = fun!) in both circle, oval, square and rectangle shapes. This is a technique class, you'll make some cards while learning, but know that the techniques can be used for any paper craft or scrapbook projects.

I'll be teaching the last two of classes this year, so if you'd like to join the fun, be sure to sign up (walk in or online) in advance.
Again, just a kind reminder that the class can be canceled if we don't have enough sign ups and it closes 24 hours before the class date.
Please keep this in mind as you plan your time to attend any of my classes at Michaels store at El Camino (Sacramento).

See you in classroom!

Open House - thank you notes

Hello...this post is to share some of the Thank You cards I made and sent to the customers, students and friends that visited our Open House few days ago.

It was so great seeing some long-time-no-see friends and surprised by unexpected friends, we all had lots of fun. I've prepared the new living room to be "show room" as I wanted to share my latest paper crafting artworks and scrapbook projects. Seems like everyone had so much fun!

In these note cards I used some of the latest embellishments from CTMH(Paradise baker's twine, Mile Post shapes, mini-medley olive collection, etc). Fun!

The patterned paper is Typeset.

Good night,

Back from LA 2011 CTMH Convention

The Close To My Heart 2011 Annual Convention - LA, California.

It has been so much fun and a weekend filled with new ideas and inspiration...

Can't wait to get hands-on to the new My Creations items, new papers and embellishments!

April is here! Sharing a new project...

Hello Spring...

Here is the new display board I finished this past weekend at store so to promote my upcoming classes for Scrapbook and Design & U program with EK Success. Besides the Christmas Card going beyond the old Holiday Red, I also added the 12" x 12" layout I made for the Wedding Event days before, using colors that "escape" from the traditional B&W: bright pink and juniper green plus silver. The embellishments are purposely put to remind the viewer about nature and in this case, Spring. So butterflies and flowers have a great presence in the layout.

During the making of the layout many "scrappy" people stopped by to share their thoughts about this layout and I noticed most of them were so very pleased with the colors. I'm glad to be able to bring some new ideas to them and to refresh old ones they already have.

:)

Supplies: Papers(My Minds Eyes, Recollection, DCWV), stickers(Recollection, Making Memories, K&Company), flowers, butterflies, gems and pearls(Recollection), Punch(MS, EK Success), ink(Colorbok, Tsukineko), ribbon(Offray), adhesive (Provo, Tombow), diecut(K&Company).

So take a look at the details of this project and feel free to share your thoughts too!

Have a great Spring!

Welcome 2011

ICopic Color Challenge #10:

http://blog.icopic.com/search/label/Color%20Challenges

Hi there,

This card is meant to celebrate and welcome the year of 2011 as New Year eve approaches.

Yes, 2010 has been very challenging for me and my family as we faced some of the biggest struggles on our personal lives. But I also understand that everything has a purpose to be and I believe God is behind all of "the goods and bads" that come to our way.

So my heart still longs for gratitude.

Let's celebrate and be thankful for ourselves, our loved ones and all we have, right now!

Supplies used for this card:

papers - Basic Grey, The Paper company, CTMH

stamps - CTMH, MS

die cut - Sizzix

punch - SU'

ink pad - Tsukineko, CTMH

marker - COPIC ( E17, YR15, YR82) , Calligraphy (PURE BLACK) by Zig M.S.

buttons, hemp - miscellaneous

God Blessings,

Joyful December

Traditionally this is the busiest month of the year.

This has been a tough year for me, and I know, for a lot of people out there too.

But in between the good and the bad that happened along the year, I want to keep my heart filled with gratitude for the friendships I made and the achievements I got during the year of 2010.

I'm sharing today some of the cards I made for this weekend's demo.

Good night!

Here I have 2 cute cards featuring some of my loved COPIC markers colors!
