Today I added Pinterest and Instagram icons to my blog's side bar.
It's been a while but I'm happy I finally made it,

A birthday card
Today I made a "last-minute" kind of birthday card.
I like it how it looks simple yet good :).
It's going to be given to my son's teacher for her birthday.
It has an extra pocket on the inside to tuck in a Starbucks gift card.
Here are the snapshots of the card:
Have a great Friday!

Multicultural Day @ school and a cute gingerbread man
The teachers requested a project which is basically a simplified version of display - it would show photos of icons or meaningful things that can represent the country of the choice (by student), alongside a decorated gingerbread man with, of course, some clothing that would show the ethnicity of that country.
In our case, we chose Brazil. And what can be cuter for a brazilian gingerbread man than a set of soccer ball player outfit? We followed the colors and details carefully so it can tell by itself.
I made sure JW got the cutting part covered. I'm so glad to see how much he improved in his cutting skills since kindergarten days, not too bad for a first grader now.
This can also be just a mommy thing. :D
I will come back with another post about the display that is in the school right now.
Thanks for visiting!

for a dear friend, a folder card to hold and to keep
Today I want to share a folder card made for a special friend in my life, Carol H.
We go to the same Bible study small group in our church and she had been a wonderful friend since the day one we met back in 2012.
The purpose of the card, besides sending our group's warm messages for the period we missed her (when she couldn't attend some of the sessions) it was also meant to hold few study sheets I saved for her during the studies. It has two folded pockets, nothing to hold bulky items but just few small pieces.
I liked the vibrant colors in this card. It's from a beautiful paper collection from Close To My Heart that was available in promotional campaign only.
I'm very grateful for her and have her as my friend and sister.

a past Class project, create a card stamping with SG - a quick view
This photo is a EKB Stamping Gear 101 class project - a sneak peek photo I'd like to share.
It is one of the class samples from one my 2013 classes @ Michaels.
It is essential to use the Inkadinkado Stamping Gear(SG) tool (EKBrands) as part of the project making. The tool itself allow the user to be as much creative as she can be. The sky is the limit!
You can find this tool at Michaels, Joann or any other art & craft store near by.

Featuring Stamping Gear from inkadinkado, teaching at Michaels El Camino
This past Wednesday it was so much fun as we spend few hours playing along with some new and popular cling stamps while using the stamping gear set (wheels + cog = fun!) in both circle, oval, square and rectangle shapes. This is a technique class, you'll make some cards while learning, but know that the techniques can be used for any paper craft or scrapbook projects.
I'll be teaching the last two of classes this year, so if you'd like to join the fun, be sure to sign up (walk in or online) in advance.
Again, just a kind reminder that the class can be canceled if we don't have enough sign ups and it closes 24 hours before the class date.
Please keep this in mind as you plan your time to attend any of my classes at Michaels store at El Camino (Sacramento).
See you in classroom!

from CK blog, creativity heals...
Hi:
I really wanted to keep this thought posted yesterday in Creating Keepsakes blog so I copied to share it in here.
I really wanted to keep this thought posted yesterday in Creating Keepsakes blog so I copied to share it in here.
I'm sure that creativity CAN heal and it can do a great job. Without "over thinking" or overwhelming myself I do believe this is a really nice way to find new horizons for the healing process.
Hope we all can remember and practice this constantly.
Happy Day!
